Went out this afternoon but looking forward to the evening bite. Went the complete opposite side of the lake away from Shanty town. Found my way back into cattails and found the the 8' deep channel. Zipped maybe 30 holes until I found what I was lookin for and the Marcum was lit up "Bingo, game on".

#10 Black Ratso was the ticket for the start. Dropped to the bottom and lift up 12" and the fish were chasin right off the bottom and slamming it on the way up. Plenty of gills but not the size I was looking for so I moved on.
Found more fish and the smaller ones seemed to be the most active. Had bigger fish sniffin the bait but weren't interested so I changed up to a glow #8 Ratfinkie tipped with a spike and things started to pick up. Larger gills and it was a blast catching them on the Jason Mitchell UL rods ijust got in the mail which made the game even better. Around 4pm it was like the way they were biting changed, they weren't slamming the jig at all? I'm like WTF all of a sudden they are biting really lite. You would actually have to lift the rod to feel the weight to know if you had a fish. Turned out the Crappies decided to take over and they were a foot below the ice. Turned out to be a nice day after all. Back out to another lake in the morning....Take care..

Unfortunately I left me camera in my desk so no pics to add....
