Locust and Turtle reefs hot today. Rain front moving thru now, not enough to change fishing conditions. this coming week expected to be great walleye fishing. Trollers continue to slay big fish trolling husky jerks 45 to 65 feet back, reef runners good not as hot as husky's. Have good selection of custom painted husky's pink and purple squirrel did exceptionally good. Opening up daily now at 6:00 a.m. closing?? Store busy shiners, hair jigs, custom painted husky jerks. Dave O'Neal Reporting 3/16/2012 - walleye bite is on Fishing For late yesterday evening limits were pulled within 30 minutes, jigging in 10-15 feet of water right out front,anywhere along the beach. Storm front came thru last night mainly rain shouldn't bother walleye fishing for weekend. Mainly remember they are on the move and seem to be real aggressive, so your chances of limits are good this weekend. Store busy-hair jigs, husky jerks, reef runners and walleye shiners. Fishermen everywhere, Walleye close in, jigging bite terrifficc, weather great, even smallest boats going. Jigging using purple, john deere green hair jigs tipped with large shiners best way. around 10 feet of water or shallower, all along the shore from crane creek past davis besse. Trollers using husky jerks, custom colors going fast. Walleye catching and weather couldn't be better. Trollers trolling from A-Can to C-can-cone reef , little pickerel area, trolling husky jerks pulled some big fish,looks like weather and walleye fishing will be really good this week. Jigging anywhere from 10-18 feet of water. Black-Chartuse/orange/John Deere Green jigs-Husky Jerk trolling bite continues to produce big fish from A Can to C-Can C-can to Niagara. Custom Colors hot items. Opening at 6:00 a.m. Friday Sat and Sunday will open at 5:00 a.m Fishing license continues to be problems get them on line or before you come. Today weatherman scarred off lots of fishermen, called for chance of rain, all we seen is overcast skys, not much wind or rain -- from the phone calls all rest of fishermen will be here tomorrow. Trollers trolling husky jerks, reef runners been producing lot of big walleyes, L-A-B-C-D can areas. 4/14/2012 - walleye bite goes on and on Fishing For One of the best years in years walleye fishing in lake erie. Hair jig bite out on the reefs and along shore 8-15 feet of water from Crane Creek down past Davis Besse continues to bring in limits of walleye. Trollers trolling around D-C Can area, pulling deep husky jerks, and reef runners has been pulling limits too, some are starting to take nightcrawlers- soon they will be pulling worm harnesses. weather (wtol.com) winds (iwindsurf.com punch in marblehead or maumee bay. Calling for some showers today but looks very fishable. Waves right now 2 feet or less. Remember to buy your fishing licenses on line or before you get here, lines are long, and we have had problems with out internet. Captain Dave from Happy Hooker.

Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/15/2012 - walleye bite still good Fishing For Early out on the lake seemed to be the key in limits of walleye pulled out near K-Can past few days, jigging hair jigs tipped with shiners. Trollers still trolling North of Cans a-b-c-sometimes even down past niagara to D-can. Starting to use few worm harnesses and even spoons. Most trollers trolling deep husky jerks and reef runners around 60 feet back l.1 mph (approximate) Weather has been holding little rain-mist Best to track weather(wtol.com) marine forcast and iwindsurf.com (punch in marblehead or maumee bay) for wind forcasts. Capt. Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/16/2012 - ITS Back- wind gusts 20-30mph Fishing For Early fishermen did good this morning EARLY before the little rain we got and the WHole bunches of wind. Wind to deminish this evening. Tomorrow looks like it should be fishable, but will have to keep good eye on weather. Weekend was real good walleye fishing for most. K-Can was the hot can. Capt. Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/17/2012 - wind gone as quick as it came Fishing For Wind left last night as quick as it came, water clearity not too bad as if that has made a differnce this spring. Early birds yesterday got limits and was back on shore before wind got bad. K can-Locust was good for jiggers, little too rough to troll. Today looks like good day to walleye fish, Got some new blade baits in that have been working well, firetiger, barbie, clown white knight, pink lemonade. Capt. Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/18/2012 - walleye bite goes on and on Fishing For When you think walleye fishing can't get any better, it does. Yesterday prime example, fishermen were done so early they were back in the store buying perch minnows, and fishing gear to fish docks and channels. Jiggers jigging hair jigs tipped with minnows, and jigging blade baits around K-can-Locust-Turtle all way up to L= Can even over by little pickerel. Trollers did well many big fish taken, reef runners, Kandy Corn, Red headed wonderbread,gator bait, bare naked pink panties. Deep diving Husky Jerks, (getting new custom colors in today) Weather suppose to be great next few days, some change Sat morning, but with walleye in so close it would have to be really bad to be unfishable, Still amazing we have had such a wonderful walleye bite from early March (yes early March) till now. Capt. Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/19/2012 - walleye bite goes on and on and on Fishing For Early morning yesterday was exceptional walleye bite. Jiggers and blade fishermen doing well at locust ,turtle, K can even over around cone and pickerel reefs. Trollers trolling north of A-B-C- cans even down to D-can and from L-can to pickerel. Trolling custom huskey jerks and reef runners 65-80 feet back. Weather today less than 2 feet- tomorrow less than 2 feet(according to Marine forcast. Some fishermen starting to take crawlers putting down bottom bouncers with worm harnesses and picking up some nice walleye, won't be long till they start pulling worms. Capt. Dave O'Neal Reporting 4/21/2012 - Looks like wind may win today Fishing For Road fishing this morning after hearing the lake (not daylight enough to see) estimating waves well over 3 feet. Of course those walleye were close in but don't know what this weather front has affected them. Yesterday jiggers and blade fishermen did good, not fast and furious but some nice walleye. Got little rough for trollers, no reports there. Hopefully the wind lays down for this evening and tomorrow. Right now Monday and Tuesday not lookin good weather wise, but every weather station has a different forcast. New Dipsy rack and new trolling combo fishing pole rack in store, better check it out.
